Saar has been updating us on his quest for a good APR from Capital One. They seem flexible on that point. But I would like to know whether anyone has gotten the annual fee removed from a subprime Capital One Visa.

I know they offer the Classic Visa by mail to better credit risks with no annual fee and a 12.9% APR. Given the size of my credit limit ($400), the $59 annual fee costs me a lot more tham the extra subprime interest does. Does Cap One ever waive the annual fee on an existing Visa account?

I pay $29 anual fee for their MC card. After one year they refuse me to remove that
    fee.

Thank you. That's the kind of information I was looking for.

I think they are more likely to waive the fee if you carry a balance and pay on time.

    That describes me perfectly.
