capitalone offered me like 19.8% financing. Peoplefirst.com first tries to get you a loan, then autodumps you to capitalone. They are like household.

    I got :
    peoplefirst: denial
    capitalone: 19.8% 60 months
    household: 16.4% 72 months
    chase automotive: 7% 60 months.

I wasted inquiries. I hope my experience saves you the trouble.

I tried to refinance my car loan to take advantage of some of the lower rates. I applied at Peoplefirst.com and they sent my application to Capital One. They approved the application for 15.95%, which is higher than the 8.75% I was paying.

I called my credit union, where I already have another car loan with a rate of 7.25%. They refinanced my car loan ata 5.99% and get this they didn't even pull a credit report. They based thier credit decision on timely payments of my other car loan and my credit card with them.

Not all credit unions are like this, but damn I love mine.
