I applied for a capital one account in one state, and moved to another state a month later. After moving to the new state, we found a good deal on a house, so we moved again, therefore my mail was forwarded twice. By the time I started getting bills from capital one, the account was past due and closed. The card was never activated, and they sent a refund for the check I sent in because the charges were just the annual fee + late charges, however it is showing up on my credit report as 60+ days late. Is there anything I can do?

Call them up and see if you can get a new account and ask them to get the '60 day late' deleted from your reports. If it would be possible for you to have an account now, I'm sure they'd want to clear this up so they can make some money.
