I had 2 late payments 3 years ago b/c either Cap One or the USPS did not process a temporary change of address that I had put in when I was in law school and working in another city for the summer. I tried disputing with CRA 2 years ago and they didn't delete. I just got off the phone with a Cap One service rep and they said that they would put in a request to investigate since she did not have access to records from 1999 on her computer and that they would then have it deleted with the CRAs and that this would take 60-90 days to complete. Has anyone ever had Cap One actually follow through on this through a phone call? I've had a Cap One account for almost 10 years and that summer in 1999 was the only time that I was late.
