Tried the TOUCH TONE PHONE limit increase~~DENIED Got the reason in the mail today... "YOUR CURRENT CREDIT LIMIT IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT AVAILABLE UNDER YOUR CREDIT CARD PROGRAM" (actually $2,000 over~~that MR COOKE gave me)... I ASSUMED THAT THEY WENT UP TO $20,000!!! THAT IS WHAT I HAVE SEEN ON THE ON-LINE APPLICATIONS!!! (pretty low...but still way higher than the was $7,500...and then $9,500 I have now) PFB here I come...
You are applying for a Capital One Visa Platinum account. The lines of credit offered with the Visa Platinum Card account range from $5,000 to $20,000. Platinum benefits are available only to Platinum cardholders.
It all seems illogical to me. I got a letter from mr cooke finallyyyyyy that said essentially the same thing. I have the highest cl available with that particular card. WHATever. ::sigh::
I guess I need to tell him to give me WHAT-EVER card has a MAXIMUM CREDIT LIMIT OF $20,000!!! I have no DIRECT BILL charges to the card...SO I DON'T CARE IF THE CARD IS VISA OR M/C OR HAS A DIFFERENT CARD NUMBER OR THE SAME NUMBER!!! As long as it is still 5.90% (FIXED) PURCHASES AND BT!!!!
I'm very surprised to hear that. I'd definately PFB and get that bad boy raised to 11,500. 20K is too much to ask for at one time, just try 2k every 6 months and before you know it, your a member of the 20K plat club and at one hell of a great rate. Cap 1 will absolutely NOT GO BELOW 9.9% FIXED no matter how hard I plead my case. Even Mr. Cooke is powerless to help.
Who is mr cooke? i have a capital one visa platinum with a 500 credit limit. Is there a way to increase it without getting a hard inquiry? any certain people i can write or call to? thanks.. My score is at 693 now. And i have one more credit card of a 1000 dollars to pay off and that should let me break into the 700's!!!! thanks (reason why i ask for the credit increase is because i want to increase my credit limit ratio.)
Re: Re: CAPITAL ONE LOGIC I already did the PFB...I did NOT actually ask him for a LIMIT INCREASE (He MIGHT read between the lines though)...I just asked for an ACCOUNT THAT I CAN GET $20,000 IN THE FUTURE... I don't want to press the buttons on the phone and get DENIED...then get a sealed double "POST CARD" that says I already have the MAX!!!
