    Anyone here have it? How hard is it to get?

    I hear that is it difficult to get applying directly. You have to have super-prime credit. But if you already have a Cap One card, it is not beyond reach, provided your limit is either $5K or near $5K.


    I was upgraded from a classic...gold...platinum with Cap One within 3 years via a series of significant credit line increases.


    If you apply for a Cap One platinum card, apply for the "no hassle" MasterCard for the best terms. I'm trying to get my Visa converted to that now.

    Why does a Capital One Platinum VISA remind me of a Burker King New York Strip Sirloin?

    I got a fabulous quote on the CO Platinum, - 9%, with a $2 "monthly maintenance fee", so you could conveniently never carry a 0 balance. It met the shredder quickly.

    OMG Doc, hey I worked there when they tried to sell "fine" cuisine for dinner LOL.. We had steak, and shrimp and a grand old baked potatoe and popcorn while you waited ROFL. Gosh that brought back memories:)
