So on the 16th of February, I PFB'd to Capital One requesting a goodwill deletion of my 3 lates with them over a 4 or 5 year history. I got back a letter saying to call their customer service, which I figured was blowing me off, but I did so, referenced the letter, and spoke to a girl there that said it would get done for me. Fast forward to today - I get a letter from Capital One saying that they have researched my account, found that the lates were correct, and that they won't be removing them. Then, I called them again, and spoke to a customer service rep who was completely unhelpful, just saying that it's illegal to do that and people could go to jail if they did that and a bunch of other crap. However, his biggest lie was that Capital One cannot remove that from the credit report, rather that's a "credit bureau decision, and they decided to keep it". This is crap. Where should I go from here? PFB again, explaining my position? Ughhh!!!
