Has anyone ever received their security funds deposit back from Capital One without having to close the account? If so, how long did it take and what was your general credit profile when they did return your funds with that whole $1 in accrued interest.

Took three years and they did apply the interest to the refund. They unsecured the account but not too sure how long it takes to get an increase now.

    RE: Capital One: Returns Secur

Well, after posting my displeasure with Capital One for having kept my $2500 security deposit for 4 1/2 years, I want to announce that I received an answer to my last letter to Capital One today: A check for $2,723.

It was a long time to wait, but afterall, I did go $11 over my credit limit that one time in 1995:)

So, they do return security funds.
    Eventually.

Capital One is very stern, but honest. It just took a while.
    A good long while.
    But who's complaining?:>)
