I applied for a Capital One Platinum card via a preapproved offer back in december '02. This was during the time where I was falling behind on my two citibank cards due to unemployment. Anyway, I was given a Credit limit of only $225 dollars and a $59 membership fee and 9.9% APR. I've had the card for about 14 months now and with no lates, and I still haven't gotten an increase. Everytime I call the automated number it says "this account is not eligible to be reviewed at this time..." Does capital one actually give automatic increases or what?
I waited MORE THAN 6 MONTHS like MR COOKE said to and I was DENIED...REASON it has not been over 8 MONTHS!!!
Also, do a search on past posts on Cap1. A few months back they changed their credit increase policy, even Mr. Cooke said that accounts would be "randomly reviewed" for CLI but phone requests would no longer be automatically granted at 6 or 12 months periods.

No CLI in over 2 years. Stuck at 3.2k Last time I requested Mr. Cooke for a CLI he made me wait 4 weeks, 3 hard inqs all for a $300.00 CLI. Best regards, Mirage
