I used PFB to send a goodwill letter to CapOne requesting deletion of 3 x 30 day lates from my credit report. The next day, they sent me back an email saying they appreciated the compliments on their service, but they couldn't help me with account issues through email for security reasons. Please call the cardholders customer service number and we'll be glad to assist. So, I figured they blew me off, but I called today to change my address anyway, and asked the girl that helped me if she could help with this request... one good conversation later, the paperwork to change the credit bureau information was on the way!! So far I've gotten 1 collection removed from all reports, 1 collection removed from EQ, and now three 30 day lates from all reports
I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT E-MAIL SECURITY!!!!!!! DON'T TELL ME TO CALL!!! HAD I WANTED TO CALL I WOULD BE ON THE PHONE...NOT ON www.planetfeedback.com WHY ARE YOU (CAPITAL ONE) AFRAID OF E-MAIL????
Well, I really don't see how it would have hurt them to just do what was necessary to get these removed, but that said, I also have to admit email isn't the proper meduim to be sending account information.
Re: Re: Capital One success! MARY SMITH XXXX-1234 FRED JONES XXXX-9876 IS FINE... The address is also on the PFB... ALSO PHONE NUMBER... Any of these can be "PLUGGED" into the computer and get your complete 16 digit account number.
Re: Re: Capital One success! I hear ya, but I got what I wanted, so I can't really complain Now the whole thing in my thread about the charge off is frustrating me though. I wish I could figure out how to tackle it :\
