Has this ever happened to anyone else? I had a $200.00 gold card and a $500.00 platinum card, I called Capital One and asked them to combine my platinum card with my gold card. The person put me on the longest hold I have ever been on in my life... When she came back she said it could take up to two weeks to process. The end result is that now I have a $700.00 gold card and a $500.00 platinum card... What a way to get a credit limit increase! Just wanted to share... Oh and by the way it's been five months since this error.
The same thing happened to me - a couple of months later they corrected themselves!!! But it was not five months, more like three, so they may have messed up in your benefit. I had a hard time getting them to combine my gold and platinum, they didn't want to do it & I called back until I got a rep that would.
I hope they never catch this! In reading this board, I see that Capital One is stingy with limit increases! I might have had a $200.00 credit limit for 5 years before an increase...
