Hello, I got a "preapproved" Capital One Platinum Business Visa offer in the mail. Before I use the online acceptance feature, I wanted to see whether I really have a chance of being approved. My scores are: TU 634, Exp. 665, Equifax 624 I've been in business 4 months (I was recently laid off from my day job). And, almost most importantly. . . I want to know what the range of limits are. I don't want to go for it for a 500.00 limit. I have a six year Capital One derog where I paid if off via a settlement (obviously b/4 I knew better).
The more important question is: Do you need the card? From your scores, it looks like you have credit troubles. Is is really a good idea to get more credit right now?
Actually, it IS a good idea for me. When I started on this board, I had scores in the low 500's. I then embarked upon a plan to improve them. As you can see, I've improved them quite a bit. I would like the card just in case I have a cash flow problem. The credit troubles I have are behind me. My fico score still reflects trouble w/credit. By the way, I pay my balances off every month and have done this for the last year. I will not charge anything if I cannot do so. The Golden One secured account loan was to bolster my credit--not because I needed it.
I can assure you that you will not be approved for a business platinum with those scores so don't waste an inquiry. :/
