Is Capital Credit of 20331 Irvine Av, Building E3, Santa Ana Heights, CA 92707-5623 for real?

They just mailed me an approval for $15K . I don't believe it. Is it just a catalog outfit?

    Thanks for any hints here.

Could be the same, but be aware that Santa Ana Heights is in Orange County, California in a vicinity bordering Irvine and Newport Beach. Unfortunately this area is lousy with scam companies. I know this because I used to own a mortage company there and hated giving my address because of the bad reputation the area was getting. I'd want to talk with a real person and particulary if there are any fees involved with the credit line. The E3 address sounds very much like one of the typical strip center offices that are so abundant there. A company like Capital One should be the anchor tenant in a major office building (or own their own building), you might try locating their corporate headquarters and checking out the offer.

Also be suspicious if it is a collection agency pretending to extend credit to you only to get a renewed promise from you for an old debt. Maybe one you forgot about? If not, then thoroughly check it out before you put your John Hancock on anything.

I'd suspect that either NorthStar Financial or Piazzo Inc are doing business as CapitalCredit.

Can I just say, J. Edgar, that I love the research and dedication that you and the others provide to this site? It makes me realize how empowered we are with information, if we just have the fore thought to use it to our advantage. After all, CCB had to get my negative credit info from somewhere. (Those slimeballs :>))

No, not Piazzo Inc., this company is a website designer.

Cytotek is a drug so this may be a distributor.

First Suburban Mortgage Corp is a relatively large subprime lender/broker so may possibly be branching out though a card with a 'supposed' 15k limit would not what they would be involved in.

One company you do not have listed is Loans USA

    LoansUSA.org
    20331 Irvine Ave., Suite7
    Santa Ana Heights, CA 92707
    Fax: 714-556-9886

So it may be (like LoansUSA) possible that this Capital Credit is a very recent addition whose presence has not been recorded in most government files.

In any case, to all appearances it seems to be another useless catalog card offering junk at inflated prices.

Barry N, considering how much mass mailing it is doing perhaps its time to add this company to your BEWARE list.

An even better place to go is in your bathroom or patio. Take that offer, drop it in your bathtub, barbecue pit, or whatever fire-proof receptacle you can find, and set a match to it.

If the offer isn't loaded with Visa or Mastercard logos, and it doesn't specifically tell you it's a Visa or Mastercard, you can bet your hiney it's a catalog order scam. Unless you want to buy a bunch of junk at outrageous prices, you should also call or write them and tell them to stop sending you that crap. I've seen some of the same offers my daughter has received, and they either send them on a post card, or they include a lot of information on the envelope. There's no telling what kind of dumpster diver could get hold of the offer and open an account in your name. While he/she might not have your social security number, chances are that this sort of stuff would make it to your credit reports. Even an extra social security number.

    Destroy this garbage at once!
