I hope someone can help me with this. I opened an account with Capitol One in Feb. 95. In April of 1996 a judgement was filed against me by Capitol One. I settled this account in April of 2002, but stupidly didn't fight for deletion (this was before I found this board, besides, they had a judgment too).

Experian has this account falling off in June 2003.

TU has the account falling off in December 2002.

Equifax has the account falling off in September 2002.

I just called Capitol One and asked what the charge-off date was. They told me June 10, 1996. They were unable to answer me how the account was charged off AFTER the judgment. I told them that I thought it charged off in June of 1995. I asked if they could send me a record of my payment history because I thought the original delinquency was either much earlier than what they have record of or they did not charge-off the account after it became 180 days past due, but rather they waited.

Anyway, first the woman told me that they could send me all of the statements for $3 each. I told her she was crazy if she thought I was going to pay them to prove they are wrong. Then she gave me an address to send a letter to?

    Advice?!?

FROM READING OTHER POSTINGS I HAVE FOUND THAT ALOT OF RESOLUTIONS ARE FOUND WITH A MR. COOKE. I BELIEVE YOU CAN GET A HOLD OF HIM BY EMAILING HIM AT PLANTFEEDBACK.COM.

It's illegal for them to charge for a billing dispute and this is a billing dispute.
