Hi I had a capitol one charge off in 1999 and owe about $1200. I am trying to rebuild credit etc. . I want to know if anyone has had success in getting their Cap1 card back after a charge off.I want to approch them with some sort of settlement offer and or get another card with them..any thoughts or experience working with them ? I have heard of people getting a "new card" that carries the balance of the charged off one which for me would be ideal (I think) since I would have another "good " credit line being reported which is the goal...
