Since I have prime cards now and I keep getting preapproved platinum CapOne cards I called CapOne to see what they would do with my APR. The rep said that even though I was pre-approved it did NOT mean I would get the Platinum card (they finally admit it) but that I may get any card deemed appropriate by Cap One...also I may not get the limit I have with my classic card ($1800), I may get that damn $300 starting limit again so I agreed not to apply but asked what I could do with my classic card...he sent me over to a new rep that lowered my APR to 15% (from 19%). Cap One with all their bashing have done ok by me...$1800 15% on a classic card aint bad. We will see if I can get the annual fee removed in March when my 1 year anniversary comes up.

    Hey Dave,

Just curious if you ever spoke with TU? Curious how it worked out. By the way, my first CHOD results came in last week from a dispute sent on Dec. 8th. Verified - stays as is again for the 3rd time. It's 3 years old, I may have to wait another 6 months and try again. I'm going to try a validation with the original creditor for the hell of it. You never know.

    Hi LKH,
I called, they would not budge...used the Creditnet tactic (gotta get the door I will have to call you back) tried again later on in the day got a different rep...same result. They said it appeared the creditor never responded to the verification request from my dispute (which of course was never sent in the first place)...I was gonna email your contact but the fight just isn't in me...I have more struggle remaining current and upgrading current credit than I have to fight the CRA's to RE-put on valid older lines...of which 2 were closed in good standing but to remain on for a while. The one I am most upset about is that they deleted my oldest line which was currrent and in good standing. I have tried to call and have the creditor put it on...I have been transferred to departments across the country and back on the phone and just gave up.

The other thing is TU is not pulled as much around here and Equifax is...I am still fighting them to remove inaccurate items on my report which is more pressing.

Sorry about your first CHOD results. Post em in that feedback thread.

Hope all is well with you. Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year.

    -Peace, Dave
