    Hi

I have a good FICO 734 and low rates at age 38. My bride to be just turned 25 and has a 650 FICO. We both have no accidents or tickets, how will our marriage affect our premiums? What is the best way to handle this? Any in appreciated and please no cradle robbing jokes..LOL .this is my first and hopefully only marriage.

I am getting married in March and have already talked to state farm about this. My DW2B has terrible credit and even a worse driving record. She currently pays about $180 a month for insurance. I pay less then that for 6 months. I have never had a driving infraction.

I was trying to move her over to my policy, but the rep at state farm said once we are married I can just add her to the policy and she wont have to qualify.

No credit check, No driving record check.

We will see when I get back from my honeymoon (thanks for the 0% checks MBNA) if this olds true.

    I am also 38 (DW2B is 33) and my FICO is 693.

Hubby and I just upgraded our insurance. When we had to get a new policy after moving back to TX, it was $$$ because of our credit and each with one accident.

One year later, our scores, although still along way away have improved greatly. DH's were better on TU (whom they use), so he "bought" the policy and I am included. Our rates were cut in 1/2.

Don't really see a big problem for you...

Also, there are all sorts of discounts you get being a two car family :)

CREDIT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DRIVING!!!

Insurance rates are based on the house hold driver having the worst driving and record & or credit rating. .

I think you will find that your insurance will be higher due to her record.
