Hi, Seems like most auto insurance policies require a credit check nowadays. Has anyone with so-so or "bad" credit applied and gotten decent rates? Are there any companies that do not check the credit report. Besides the fact that it is a hard inquiry on credit (What happens if you shop around??), it is very upsetting to find out that I might be denied insurance based on credit. What happened to the old days of checking your driving record only? If anyone has tip or hints or names of companies that they have had good luck with please let me know. Thanks Kevin
State Farm does not check your credit. If you are military connected (former military, former dependent with sponsor), USAA does not check your credit. Or, see/call an independent agent and tell him/her your concerns. They will know which companies have which requirements in your area. breeze
Hey breeze... is there any chance i could talk w/ you via email about some insurance questions I have? (auto) If you're busy, I understand. Thanks, Dave
