I am needing some recommendations for online lenders that treat credit problems fairly?? I need a new car, but have some credit problems.

    Thanks

Peoplefirst.com is owned by Cap 1 & has a secondary side called road loans. I think it still submits to Triad & COAF. Household is another source for online secondary. Hope this helps.

I recently applied at eloan.com and in about 30 minutes had an approval. I thought it seemed high, but then my credit is fully in the toilet. So I took all the stuff they had printed out, went to the car dealership (eloan has stipulations as to the age, mileage, and price of used, but they do good with any new cars) and found my new Cavalier. When they gave me an offer with their system for 2% higher, I pulled out the paperwork, and they matched the percentage.

Chrisb. What kind of scores do you have and what rate did you get?? I'm asking because I have to apply the week after next. Of course, only answer if you don't mind sharing publicly. :)

Well I haven't seen any official FICO score, but from what I have seen, I would have to give my scores somewhere in the low 300's. I did one of those "your credit score" things, but you know how invalid they are. I got approved at E-Loan for 16% and then at the auto place at 18% . . . the previous new car I bought while my credit was a little better I had 14.99% so I didn't think 16 was all too bad. I am definitly pretty far into subprime heck, with only Providian and a K-Mart Cap-One in my wallet. E-Loan was easy thou. Very quick response, and I got a call from them about 1 1/2 hours later making sure I got their response.

You got a car loan with scores in the low 300's? My husband and I's were in the 490's and we couldn't get finance anywhere. I didn't try e-loan though. I tried several second chance financers and they all said no. Of course we do have a bankruptcy and I think at that time we had a repo but I have since had taken off. We ended up having to have my mother-in-law finance for us. Congrats!

    Thanks,

    Andra

Spilled Milk.... but you could have told them to BEAT the deal you walked in with. The other place approved you in 30 mins, they could have beat it or came off the price of the car or something.
