    George,
Thats what I thought too about that Alleged Repo of $1200 ....They are weighing it pretty heavy

I know for a fact that there are lots of Americans that have walked out on homes, cars, debts, business etc and they are getting into cars & trucks.

The car we selected was a 2002 SUV for 20K with my trade of $2500 and $700 cash

My husband had BK & REPO 6 1/2 yrs ago. GMAC allowed him to purchase new $30K car as co-buyer. A week earlier I had purchased a new $30K from the same dealership & same GMAC financing. Our interest rate is 0% on both cars. Each car had only a 10% down. Combined income $65K.

Tell me where do I sign up !!!!!

These dealers are full of Kitty Litter!!!!!!!

They must think I am some uninformed Neive Texas CowGirl

They told me the best case scenario for me would to be looking at this 97 beat up mini-van for 12K and my interest rate at best would be 18%

There are many dealerships right now offering 0% financing. GMC has been one of them for months. They have selling new cars $100.00 below invoice price ( our purchase prices). GMC has been nearly desperate to get their cars sold -hence this fabulous incentive. We did take out a 5 year loan on each car, not a lease!
P.S. I just saw an ad on TV for FORD 0%. You can go online & find out if any of the SUV's your interested in have any incentives / deals going on for the month. Don't buy in Sept. when they can get more, esp. cold weather states like here-- PA.
    Final word:
If you can afford to make payments for 3-5 years --buy a new SUV. At least this way you'll not have to worry about applying for another SUV/car loan for quite a long while. This may be the very best time for these GMAC offers.

Call around and see if you can find a dealership that pulls Equifax. Town East Ford in Mesquite does. Thats where I bought our truck. Scores mid 500's. Put $1000 down, and got 4.9% interest.

    Chrysler Financial pulls Equifax.

I have seen waaay too many folks get cars w/real bad credit to imagine you were turned down.

I am not sure where in Texas you are, but Team Chevrolet would give you a car! They are on 635/Tollway.

    My southern charm??????

LOL - we did have some good auto history. Here's what I did, and what you might want to do to save yourself the inquiry hits:

Call ahead to the finance director. Ask him point blank if he will pull EQ "it is my best report, there are some errors on the others" :)

Tell him your scores, etc., and tell him you only want ONE pull (I actually had two, one from the dealership, and one from Ford)...and see what he says.

You might also try Classic Chevy in Grapevine. Not an awful drive from Cowtown. I believe they pulled EQ for a GMAC, and they are score driven, I can't imagine you having a problem.

Call ahead and ask the Finance Director who they pull!
