Where should a go for my car loan?

    Scores: TU 685 (2x 30 days late in '00)
    EFX: 653 (1x 30, high balances)
EXP: 650 (2x30 in '00- different late then TU on one acct.)

Chase car loan, with perfect history for 18 months.

    '99 Explorer.

Some advice iv'e seen would be PenFed (EFX.. too low?) and AAA Finance.

anyone have any experience? can anyone help?

    thanks.

P.S. I'm buying it from a used car dealer. Also, I'd like to put nothing or little down, if possible, if its not going to make a major rate difference.

Anyone know also, what the maximum the bank will finance on a car is? it's Kelly Blue Book Value?? More? Less??

Most lenders use nada trade-in aka "left side book"
they will lend off a percentage of that value. Some will use kbb or black book as well. It depends on the lender & area.

In any event you wouldn't want to finance much if any over trade in value.

why not? I could use the money, and I hope to pay off the car loan shortly anyway...

because you should never pay much over trade in.
