Just looking around tonight. All I see on their website is the Providian Smart card (in decent colors but bad terms) Getsmart Cards Are they still issuing the ugly old cards? The Visa with the Lady on it and the mc with the same logo?? Just wondering what offers are still going out, and if they all have grace periods now. Does Providian only issue smart cards now?

Hi Dog How is everything on your side of the country??? Guess what I used to pay for lunch today... yes, the GREEN AMEX in my wallet. Of course, she has good company... thanks to a lot of negotiating and a lot of great advice from this board... She is proudly surrounded by not 1, not 2, but 3 Platinum 8.9 cards (Cap1: 2 Visas, 1 MC), a MNBA Quantum card, Platinum Visa checkcard (BofA), an Amex Membership Banking checkcard, Target (for a splash of color), a Quiktrip card that I'm using a lot lately. Plus of course, I have the George assortment of cards in the underwear drawer. We got WAMU in Georgia so I'm checking them out too as per your advice... I actually thought of you today when I paid. I doubt so many people smile so much when they pay their bills as I do... thank you so much again for all your help. I remember well the two of us "talking" about how to rehab a relationship with Amex. I also remember how wonderful it actually felt sending them a check in full, knowing I would actually be able to rebuild a relationship with them when I had always thought I would be "unworthy"... You really made a huge difference in my life, in my estimation of what and how quickly I could rebuild my financial life... AAARRRRFFFFFF )) nice to see your posts!
