I have been looking into purchasing a new suv...I have narrowed it down to these two choices ford expedition and chevy tahoe...I like them both but cant decide which one to try for..The ford has $5000 off msrp which gives me of total of $31957 and the tahoe has $3000 off which gives me a total of $33000...They are both so nice...I am leaning more towards ford because I have heard that they arent to hard on credit..I went to myfico and my score was 615...Is there a site I can go to that compares the cars...Any ideas would be great ...Also does anyone know who ford and chevy pulls credit wise? Thanks Teesha

Hi there. Having owned both (1999 Explorer and 2001 Tahoe) I would go with the Tahoe. I liked the interior of the Explorer better but the room and power of the Tahoe more than makes up for the interior IMHO. The new Explorers have a little more power but still not a match for the Tahoe. Never had any mechanical/build problems with either. I think that the Tahoe is more "truck-like" than the Explorer if that makes a difference.

They're both good vehicles and I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever one you get. BTW... I think that Ford and GMAC are pretty comparable in their credit guidelines.

Hi friend, I just got a Durango SLT Plus.. I really enjoy this truck, have had the explorer and a blazer Jimmy and so forth... All very nice trucks but when you get into tahoe or durangos they are alot more truck like.. Still very comfortable drive all the amenities of autos such as Caddy or BMW..

My truck came with leather, heated seats.. running boards.. DVD in the back for the kids.. third row seating.. Pretty much name it the truch has it.. The truck ran me about 37 to 38k.. Just about the best you can get for the Durango's.. now top of the line Tahoes, can run into the mid forties.. All really depends on what you want.. I suggest going out and looking at them.. My truck had a 5k rebate.. on it, although the dodge website said none were going on.. I would check out all the SUV's... Too much to spend.. not to drive them all.. By the way... MY truck is getting 14.5 miles per gallon.. :( I am just glad I dont drive that much.. It is however one of the worst for MPG.. but Tahoe isnt much better, none of the larger SUV's will get great milage.. Okay, now I am ranting... guess you can tell I just got mine.. :) You wanna talk drop me a line.. best of luck
