Anyone know if a company has to have a bond listing with the exact address they are using for business? Or can another address suffice?

D & B, RJM has a bond for my state but it is listed with another address, not the one that is on the correspondence they send.

It is my understanding that the requirement of an exact address is a state decision..so you'll want to see what the state requires in that aspect. In Texas, they don't have to have the exact street address according to Ms. Weston.

Ok..BUT...and this is funny..I still got Nina Weston to send me a certificate of no record for a CA that had the wrong address..it just specifies..no record of XXX CA at XXX address..

    and it worked!

This is the response I rcvd from her. I am in TX:

Our records indicate bonds on file for the following:
    >
    > Dun & Bradstreet Inc., One Diamond Hill Road, Murray Hill, NJ
    > Dun & Bradstreet Inc dba Dun & Bradstreet Receivable Management Services,
    > One Diamond Hill Road, Murray Hill, NJ
    > Dun & Bradstreet Inc dba Program Management Services, 77 Hartland Street,
    > East Hartford, CT
    > The Receivable Management Services Corporation dba Dun & Bradstreet
    > Receivable Management Services, 899 Eaton Avenue. Bethlehem, PA

I listed the name in full, not just D & B RMS. I have a feeling that will make a difference when looking things up. Or, she has given two people two different answers to the same question.

Yea all i sent her was D&b and the address on the letter I did not ask for all the D&Bs. Whoops, I will call her tomorrow. Nana, check out the thread "sticking it to the big 3", that will explain the letter I e-mailed you

BTW i already screwed up by sending the C&D letter, now I cant even ask for validation, I will learn, just wish it wasnt the hard way every time.

Trent, don't worry...you are learning and we ALL make mistakes the first times..(and I made them on the 30th time..40th..you get the idea!)..I always just started it all back up and did it again...even if I had sent the "wrong" letter, etc....

    Honestly...don't worry..it's not over...and everytime gets better...

but no...it's a minor obstacle...but you can still continue to pursue this...:)
