I have a Fraud Alert with all three CRA's. I just noticed that Equifax allowed someone, Collection Agency, to pull my credit report a few weeks ago. I placed the alert over 60-days ago. Is there a clause saying that a collection agency can pull your report even if you have a fraud alert?? I thought that if someone pulled my report I would have to be notified..!!!!! OR does this only apply to credit?? I am very very confused..??

Ohh yes... this is on my credit report as a HARD... inquiry.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the fraud alert expires if you are not disputing items on your report as fraudulent.

Thanks Breeze but....I have been disputing fraudlent activity!

I am still waiting on my correction report from my first dispute. They are very aware of this I just faxed a copy of the updated police report two weeks ago.

I believe if you have a fraud alert they must contact you and get/confirm your approval before granting any access to credit file .They broke their own rules.

Call them and ask for their legal dept.
