After reading a bunch of posts regarding C2it, I decided to experiment with a few of my credit cards... My Cap1 cards (Gold and Kmart Gold) transferred ok with NO fees. My credit union's Gold card did ok with no fees as well. Then...I try my PayPal Visa card and here's what I saw earlier today.... 05/09/2002 C2it $10.00 05/10/2002 Purchase *Finance Charge* $1.88 05/10/2002 Cash Advance *Finance Cha $0.01 05/10/2002 *Finance Charge* Cash Adv $5.00 The kicker has to be the $5 charge....AAAAHHHH!!! I called in a hurry and complained. Fortunately, they waived the $5 fee. The CSR tried to tell me that I signed up to this when I received the card....but, I told him I hadn't seen anything like this B.S. before. In addition, my C2it transaction was the very first time I did a "cash advance" so I used that argument also when I disputed it today. I am sooooo glad they waived the $5....This has got to be one of the greatest injustices...besides their near 30% APR... MY MESSAGE........DO NOT EVER EXECUTE A CASH ADVANCE ON YOUR PROVIDIAN CARD!!!!!!
