OK! I need help! I took out some cash advances when my husband was laid off. Now I am having a hard time repaying them all. These places are EVIL!!! Does anyone know of a credit counseling place or anything like that?!?!?! That helps you pay them off or does any one have and feedback on how to get them all paid off?? These people get real mad and short with me when it comes to payment arrangements. It is to the point that I don't even like to call them back... PLEASE HELP!!
Yes they are evil. You would have been in better shape stretching out payments to all your other creditors. Cut your expenses to the bone, and pay them off as fast as you can. At 400% APR or more, half-way measures will just stretch out your pain. Beyond that, what's to council you on?
I was in the same boat. They DO NOT take payments, unless you go to court and request it. I would let them go, that's what I did and only 1 has sued me so far and they still haven't come after me for the money.
