Since Sears is now with CBUSA has anyone seen any validations come through? DH has an old charge off TL on all 3 reports. Over a year ago he paid RMA in a settlement and they deleted. Sears shows as a Closed acct, 0 balance, account transferred/purchased and then some form of 120 days late, seriously past due or collection accot depending on the report. The DOLA is 5 of 2000. Is there any hope of using the validation to delete... or what else can I try that has been successful for someone else?? I had 2 deletions on his this week (Arrow and another CA) so I am gaining positive ground!
Hey I know CBUSASEARS and Arrow!! lol I just today disputed CBUSASEARs, so we'll see what happens. They do the same thing to my reports and report as 120 days late..... and this CO is from 1998! So, at the very least, they have to change the 120 days to CO(if they do validate), which is better for our scores. I'll let you know what happens! NuB
Good Luck! I am going to send my letter Monday. I tend to send out my letters every two weeks so I am on a certain "schedule". But when I have success like I did this week, it makes me eager to see more and then I get impatient waiting for the 30 days....
Re: Re: CBUSASEARS Validation ?? Does this actually work? I had thoughts I needed to wait until receiving a response from a CRA before I send out the next challenge. I would love to hear some expert opinions to this... How many disputes are you sending out each time?
Re: Re: CBUSASEARS Validation ?? Thanks for the luck!! And lots to you! Congratulations on your success! I've had 3 deletions so far, but none for my DH yet :-( , but we're just starting! I'm eager too!! Counting down those 30 days!! NuB
KobeKatt... Did you read all the FAQs and such that are at the top of the forum threads? Maybe I confused you...when I said every two weeks, I mean that every other Monday I mail out any "credit related" CRRRs. I don't dispute the same thing every two weeks. I find that if I mail a validation, that in just almost 10 days, I get the returned green card and then submit the disputes to the CRAs. I may only be mailing one thing on Monday but that is always my schedule to visit the post office. While I would like my credit fixed immediately, it isn't an overnight process and my biggest fault is my impatience to fix things. And while I will do all I can to get things fixed, I am far from educated and have alot to learn, but I appreciate what I do get here!
Re: Re: CBUSASEARS Validation ?? You are right, I was confused. I interpreted what you said to mean you were sending out new disputes every 2 weeks to the CRA, even if you hadnt received a response for the previous dispute. As I understand it, if I send out a letter disputing 3 items, I need to wait until I receive a response from the CRA before sending a new dispute for 3 more items.. Is that how everyone else understands it to be?
