This is probably one of those stupid questions but anyway ... does anyone know if a cc reports if you haven't activated it?

It might depend on the issuer but I have had cards (First USA and I think it happened with an Amex) appear on a credit report before I have received them in the mail (and thus not activated). I guess it just depends on the time the account is opened and the date that the credit card company batches up the data to send to the reporting agencies.

    YES.

I NEVER activated a"1/2 TOY" card...(it showed up on my credit reports)...

F.Y.I.~~~A "TOY" CARD IS 80% LOWER THAN YOUR LOWEST CREDIT LIMIT...SO A "1/2 TOY" CARD IS 90% LOWER THAN YOUR LOWEST CREDIT LIMIT...

99.99% OF CARD HOLDERS WILL REFUSE A "TOY" CARD...why would they issue it in the first place???

Same here. Some credit card companies report immediately after application approval.

So once you've applied, been approved, that's it. Doesn't matter if you don't activate it, cancel it, put it in the sock drawer (George's favorite place). Well, maybe it wasn't such a stupid question. How many toy cards do you have George?

Well, it depends on the company. Someone posted here that they called RNB about the Target VISA and they were told that it wouldn't report unless activated. So, it really depends on the issuer.

Oh, by the way, George, I read on a post that you had a credit limit of 17000 with Household. That's impressive! Don't misunderstand me, I'm not being sarcastic, but I've had a Household account for about 2 years with 2500. You must have had that card for 50 years! It's been my experience that they give out cl increases but up to 17000 is pretty good. What did you start out with?
