I am in the process of shopping for a mortgage, however, I have a credit card charge off from First Financial Bank of South Dakota. The charge off was reported by both the CA and OC on my credit report, however, I sent a validation letter to the CA and disputed the debt with all three cr agencies and it was deleted. I need to get the OC to delete this from my credit report or at least change the tradeline to pos. Does anyone have a recommendation? Should I try sending a settlement for deletion letter to the OC? If so, shoud I offer 50% to settle the account? I will pay whatever to get this deleted. Does anyone recommend the Westcap endorsement approach? According to my credit report, the balance on the account is $1210. The listing is as follows: Date Opened 1991 Date reported 05/2003 Status Collection/Chargeoff Remarks: Charged off as a bad dept profit and loss write-off. Any help would be appreciated, I have to settle this account in the next 30 days. Thanks in Advance!!!
What is the DOLA? That is the day you first became delinquent, and never became current again? (Not the date reported - although it *could* be the same. And, what state are you in?
Hello, I live in the state of Georgia. I am not sure when I was first delinquent on the account. Does this mean the first time that I was late on a payment? Is there anyway that I can get this information from the OC? Thanks

The CA can't prove that I owe the debt, however, the OC is reporting it on my credit report and I need to have it removed or the tradeline updated. I will gladly pay for deletion. The OC says the last activity on the account was in 2000, however, I feel the account was delinquent long before that date. How can I go about requesting the payment history on the account? Is that possible? Anyone have advice? I need to clear this up within the next 45 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
