Is there any way to find out the date on which a CC account was closed? I recently pulled my first CR (EXP via Credit Expert) and noticed that several accounts are noted "Credit line closed - grantor request - reported by subscriber." I have a few questions...

    1) What exactly does "reported by subscriber" refer to? I haven't run across this phrase in my Newbie Research yet.

    2) I had assumed that the account closings were related to the CCCS program that we entered back in 9/01 (and dropped out of 7/02). However, it occured to me - why, if the CCCS people had asked for the accounts to be closed, would it say "grantor request?" Then I re-read the contract we signed with the CCCS and nowhere does it say that they have authorization to close accounts on our behalf. So now I'm wondering when and why the heck these accounts were officially closed. If I call the CCC, will they give me this information...and what do I do with it once I have it?

    Thanks!

The "SUBSCRIBER" is the credit/loan company...

Generally, when going into a CCCS program, the credit grantor (subscriber) will close the accounts.
