The little banner to the right says "Want a Lower Credit-Card Rate? Just Ask for It". Seems simple enough, right? Not for us. My wife has one with a 19% apr, she called to get it lowered and they said "We cant" she asks why, "we are a private org. and we're not allowed to do that". ??? On another card, gets APR lowered 5 points and two months later they raise it back up Your thoughts?
Are you realistically expectinc ccs to lower their interest rates now? Recent newsreports actually have them increase their rates to loanshark level rates.
Unless you pay above min,never been late,never go over the limit.Then maybe they will but in these times never gonna happen.With so many people have just quite paying they got to keep that bottom line up.
I asked on several different cards got declined and gave up. I guess several late payments and overlimits might have had something to do with it
