I have several changes on my EX report including account deletion and inquiries. However, the score has not gone up nor down. I think the scoring isn't working at all.

I'm glad I didn't buy it yet! I'm surely canceling before the 30th day. I was seriously considering not canceling this time but actually allowing the purchase to go through.

    KILLER,

Just checked CE, and I'm up 7 points (for 2 CA deletions) not much, but I'll take what i can get.....there were no other changes on my report that would've caused the change in my score...

Just checked and mine hasn't changed. I don't think my account deletion and the inquiries negated one another. Their system is screwed up because I didn't receive any email notices of the changes.

I think CE's system is running a little behind. I had a balance update which gave me 10points but it didn't show on CE until yesterday - almost 2 wks after the balance dispute investigation was over. Another curious thing is that CE shows 17 satisfactory accounts now whereas it always showed 18before. I can't figure out which one it is not counting. I still have 18 satisfactory accounts on my actual profile when I pull it, though.

Killer did you check twice today? If so, the score you see won't change. It updates 24 hours (sometimes longer) from the last time you requested your score.

    Rina,

Yes I did check twice today. Are saying that if I check everyday then no score update will occur?

I log in multiple times a day, and it doesn't seem to affect when my score changes.

    This is how it works.

Look at the date in the chart. That is the date of the last score update.
In other words, when you score updates on a certain day, that's when the 24 hrs kicks in. You may look at your report updated as many times as you want after that score update, but your score will not update for 24hrs since the last update. If you wait until 10pm one day to check it, you will have to either check it after 10pm the next day or wait until the following day. If you wait until the following day and pull it at 7am, that is when the 24 hrs starts.

Not sure that this will help anyone, but here is an example of how it works.

    8am 1/1 Report updated/Score updated
    10pm 1/1 Report updated
    7am 1/2 Report updated
    11am 1/2 Report updated/Score updated
    8am 1/3 Report updated
    11am 1/3 report updated/score updated
    11pm 1/4 report updated/score updated
    10am 1/5 report updated
    10pm 1/5 report updated
    1am 1/6 report updated/score updated
    7am 1/7 report updated/score updated

Thanks for the explanation. It's has been more than 24 hrs since my last score update (actually several weeks) and more than 24 hrs since my report updated (actually 3 days since a collection was deleted) and the score has not changed. The only theory I have is that the inquiries subtracted the same amount of points gained from the deletion.

You may be right. Is the date that floats above the chart changing? That's a sign that you score was calculated for that day.

Is your report changing? I assume at least the date is?

They have been very good about updating mine. One day, my 24hrs was at 5pm. I had two apps which produced two inquires that day. Was checking thoughout the day. One showed up before noon, one in the afternoon. When I signed in after 5pm my score decreased due to the inquires. That does mean that something isn't screwed up with your account however.

OK I just took another look. The date in the chart says my score has not changed since 3/9/02. However, my current score is the same score I had previous to 3/9/02. Since the deletion occured on 3/8/02 I guess this means on 3/9/02 my deletion was considered but it added no points! Now the inquiries are dated after 3/9/02 so I guess they have not been considered yet.

Now how could 4 yr unpaid collection for nearly $1000 not affect the score at all? I will never understand.

I've noticed that my CE only updates my score on Friday's. This was the day I signed up for it. Perhaps it only updates your score once a week.

I don't find that to be true. I get score updates any day of the week. Sometime my score won't change for days, but is never tied down to a certain day of the week.

    Hey Killer,

I don't know why that would not have an impact. May go back to the randomizer theory.
