Last Night I logged on to Credit Expert Credit Manager and my Score on the chart was zero. Below the chart where you are notified of the latest change in your score it says: "Your score has gone up 8431 points since 04/19/2002" I had a negative account removed from my report and expect that my score will go up. I called credit expert and they stated that it was in the process of updating and would take 4 days to a week to complete. What the heck's the deal? Does anyone know if this means anything "out of the ordinary"? It sure as hell doesnt take 4 to 7 days for a score to go down. Anyone have any incite on my situation? T-Man
Help!! Anyone with information about my situation as I am concerned of how this is affecting my current credit. T-Man
My score is working fine, so I can not help you. What could this POSSIBLY have to do with your current credit? I mean other than the fact that you see a messed up score on CreditExpert? Creditors don't use CreditExpert to get your Experian score. -Peace, Dave
Nave, Sorry to interrupt your evening. I'm pleased your score is fine, but I think what is currently posting on my Credit Manager Account is a little "out of the ordinary" and wanted to see if any one has had similar experiences so that I could evaluate the situation. I am not familiar with the correlation between my CE score and my experian score. How do I monitor what my actual Experian score is? Seeing as how you've got it all figured out perhaps you could enlighten me? Just thought maybe with your 1818 posts in over a year you could help rather than write in CAPS. T-Man
T-Man, I think this topic has been posted before. I forget exactly what explanation was - some internal kink in the system. Dave was probably pointing out that this software bug shouldn't effect your actual credit report/score.
Woops T-man. After doing a search I realize you were the one that posted this already! My bad - forget I said anything. I guess the underlying reason was never explained for the software bug.
YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH CAPS??? Don't DISCRIMINATE against CAPS users...it's easier to read anyway...and the law has not been past to FORBID IT!!!
GEORGE: My Man, you are correct I do not know of any law that has been "past" against CAPS, nor do I know of any law that has been "passed" for that matter. T-Man...... a.ka. DON RICKLES ...... "Hey, Rodney, Go home it's all over"
Well, just don't get your panties all in a bunch over this, cause, like Nave said, CE score doesn't mean anything really. No creditor uses that score - it's Experian's passifier, because consumers wanted scores. So Experian said "here, play with this one..." They'll fix it, it's a tech glitch.
Yeah that is a HUGE problem. One we all can relate to. I realize there is a mis-information given to consumers who get their score via Credit Expert, Worthknowing, etc... but I did not realize how it could create a feeling of "worthyness" in scoring. T-Man, The score you are seeing is in no way related to the score your creditor will see. it is only a guage "offered" by Experian to get your "score" ... in fact WHEN WORKING, it is ONLY an approximation of your credit score, the score your creditors will see. My shortsightedness was that I did not realize you knew this...so do not take my CAPS or emphasis in the wrong way...What I meant was "do not worry your credit is unaffected by CreditExpert score in any way". -Peace, Dave PS SORRY TO STEP ON THE CAP USAGE GEORGE (so many people are posting in ALL CAPS LATELY)
Thanks for all the info. I have had success against the CA's example: I'm Rocky NCO= Tommy Gunn Arrow= Apollo Creed Schreiber & Assoc.= Ivan Drago + Clubber Lang But I was the last one standing. All I know about scoring is what that happy little Credit Manager Tells me. Is it even close to the actual Score? Higher? Lower? T-Man
