Anyone know the easiest company to qualify for a cell phone plan. What is the lowest score acceptable?
Sprint has a month to month plan that gives you limits mine is at $125 then they shut it off. I was on a contract, but had a problem with their billing issues have to keep an eye out for their insufficient billing system. That is why I decided to go month to month this way I can leave if I get fed up. Otherwise, usually there is a hefty deposit $500 that most have to fork out. Not worth it if you ask me.
I got a phone through Cingular (then SBC Wireless) when my TU score was low to mid 500's. No deposit required, but also got three phones for two years. Actually, my wife did it in my name and the CSR may have fudged things enough to make the sale, because she knowingly allowed my wife to sign my name. I wouldn't wish Cingular on my worst enemy though, just letting you know my experience re 'easy' cell phone providers.
best thing to do is see who has the best coverage and service in your area, then get the plan, regardless of deposit required. $500 is a small price to pay considering you will get it back in 12 months, much less costly than signing up for service that has too many dead spots and bad customer service that you will be "married" to for a minimum of 12 months.
I'm on a spending limit account with Sprint because of credit history. I think I was late once (I got the phone in December). That's when I started to do the Billpay thing. Now I pay it a month in advance (i.e. the $ is there before they print the invoice). I always pay more, from a few cents to a little over $6 now, so that my balance due always has a credit showing. I hope this helps in getting me off of it They charge me $3 per call. Last call I told the rep ok, I'm on a self-serve plan but the info has to be there for me to self-serve, I looked for 30 mins on the web for this answer and I didn't find it (I DID, and if it's on the web (in a logical way; i.e. finding anything on memberservices.msn.com is next to impossible) I can find it) and he waived the $3. If I can find it myself, trust me, the last thing I want to do is call and wait 10 mins for a rep.
sprint pcs approved me no deposit..pulled my experian report when it was really bad..don't know how bad but TU score was about 483 briana
Sprint will start you out on a prepay plan if you have realy bad scores, but you can get a better plan after 6 mo of good standing w/ them. but you will have to call and ask for it. if you don't want to wait on hold say operator when CG voice propts, then say operator again when CG voice wants to ask again. work for Sprint =)
Yes, but then you get "please hold and a rep will be with you as soon as possible." I guess I had good enough credit that I didn't need a deposit, but I hate the "Limited Spending" status.
