I was just curious why it has to be sent certified when the return reciept show a signture and date it was recieved.Isn't that enough proof to show you mailed it?

Just trying to save some money........

Certified is legal and gives you a papertrail. I don't know if you can send Return Receipt without it being certified or registered? Maybe so ....but if you EVER end up in court you want to be able to "prove" beyond a shadow of doubt the day you mailed it, that you did mail it, they received it, who signed, what day etc.

Yes, use CRRR so you have proof. The judge will ask if you have proof, I know, I was asked.

I know the feeling. A week ago I spent almost $36.00 mailing CRR. As the green cards begin rolling in though, it is definately worth it.
