I've done all my disputing via regular mail, but now it appears I need to send certified for my last couple of stubborn derogs, so I can build my lawsuit trail. I called CBC (my local Equifax affiliate) and asked for a contact name to send it to. And of course they wouldn't cough one up, she said to send it to Consumer Relations.

Who's name do you use when sending certified mail to the CRA's?

The online USPS certified letter requires a name to send a certified letter.

Can I just put First Name: Consumer, Last Name: Relations?

Well, we know at Equifax, it's Glenn King. I can pull out my letters from EXP and TU they have names on them I think. Want 'em?

    Yes, please :)

So, I guess it doesn't matter who's name it's sent in, someone will sign for it?

Because I'm assuming Glenn isn't signing for mail sent to him. So I could probably still use him, even though I'm sending to the CBC affiliate.

I doubt it makes any difference. I'll get out the file. :)

Oops! It must have been my imagination. TU's are signed "Consumer Relations" Experian's don't even have that, they just say "sincerely, Experian" blah blah blah (address).

Sorry to get your hopes up.

Do you have the address for Glenn King? I'm sending a letter regarding inquiries.

You can send CRR from online at the USPS website?

I do have the last address I got, but it was several months ago, and since they routinely change their mailbox number to delay and frustrate consumers, you might want to check their website for the current one. It's in Atlanta.

Yes, you can send certifed RRR from USPS website. Nice huh?
