Can you still apply for a credit card when you filed for bankruptcy chapter 13?

You are not supposed to seek any new credit without the Trustee's permission until you have been discharged. Applying for new credit might result in the Trustee dimissing your case.I really doubt that any cc company would approve your application before a discharge anyway. After our discharge we almost immediately began receiving pre-approved offers from the cc companies and had no trouble getting a card. Good luck...there is life after Ch 13 !
