I filed for Chapter 7 BK in 9/2001. I've just noticed that the Bankruptcy is listed twice on all three credit reports (once when filed and once when discharged). Have others had similar experiences, were you able to have 1 of the listings removed, and -- what tactic did you take if you were able to get it removed? Thanks in advance for your help! Kat
Re: Re: Chapter 7 BK reporting twice? What does it mean when you answer my question by repeating it to me? I assume it means that no one has the answer to this question -- right? Kat
Re: Re: Re: Chapter 7 BK reporting twice? just means i bumped your concern to the top of the page for you trying to help you out and get some replies for you.
Re: Re: Re: Chapter 7 BK reporting twice? Personally I have never seen this. I would probably dispute one of them. You weren't exactly specific about the TL notation...does one say "filed" and the other say "discharged"? clc
Yep, that's it exactly. Sounds like I ought to be able to get the 'filed' one removed as a duplicate entry. I'm still trying to figure out what language to use, though. Kat
try disputing both stating: not mine and see what happenes. I got a BK off my friends report that way.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Chapter 7 BK reporting twice? does one say "filed" and the other say "discharged"? clc ========== Which one can they report???????
Yes, one does say "filed" and the other says "discharged". I dunno which one they can report, although the other CRA only report the discharge. I'm sending a letter saying that the BK entry is inaccurate. It'd be ducky if they'd remove both, eh? Thanks for all your help! Kat
