IF YOU HAD CHARGE OFFS ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT HOW LONG DO THEY STAY ON THERE AND DO YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM BACK IF THEY HAVE BEEN ON THERE FOR MORE THEN 7 YEARS?
What do you mean by "been on there for more than 7 years"? 7 years from the DOLA? Are you expected to pay them back? It depends on the SOL for your state.
They can't be on there for more than 7 years. They must be deleted. I have had student loans, cc's and a car repo deleted off my reports after 7 years. I haven't paid a dime.
From the creditor's point of view you have to pay them back even after it falls of the credit report. Many creditors such as citibank have black lists of people they will never do business with again.
Re: Re: Charge Off And The ? They may be off your reports but they are still collectable up to the SOL for debts in your state. *note student loans have no SOL, and can be collected on forever (in most cases) whether they are on your CR's or not!
Re: Re: Re: Charge Off And The ? Here's hoping that paperwork is in some dungeon somewhere collecting dust. =)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Charge Off And The ? What about tax returns? Any federally backed loans will be paid back by tax returns if you default.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Charge Off And The ? I have no idea if they were federal or not but I received a FAT refund this year.
