I tried to get in contact with MBNA to settle in full the amount owed ($3000) but was told that I would have to speak with the CA. The CA said that he could remove all derogatory marks from my report if I pay in full to his company. However, I was told that he can indeed remove the marks regarding his company but the "chargeoff" listed under MBNA will remain since they are the only ones able to remove it? Is this true?
