Hello All, My question is... I completed a bankruptcy and had it signed off on July of 2002. When I filed the court filed everything electronically for me as this was the new rule as of January of 2002, when I first filed. According to everything that happened all my accounts were discharged, with all creditors being notified. Years later, I find out that one of my creditors before I filed bankruptcy charged off my debt and sold it to another company. No one notified me and there is nothing on my BK filing about this new company. I have no information on them as well except their name Sherman Financial Group. Now, my credit report states, not, "Included in Bankruptcy" as all my debts that occurred at that time but, "Transferred, , closed, Charged Off, $3,486 written off" Creditor's Statement, "Account transferred to another lender." Should I be worried about this affecting my credit? I have gotten two of the credit agencies to semi adjust the status, but to me it appears incorrect in that this debt was part of my bankruptcy and rightfully charged off. How do I go about getting this corrected? I really appreciate your help I have been going about this for a year now. Sincerely, ThaDragon
