Most of the time dipsute letters don't get read in detail so it's not a deal breaker if you put something extra in there.

The letter said that they will inform all the CRA's to delete all the bad remarks from my credit report (charge off account). They say that it will take a maximum of 45 days for the CRA's to remove all the those derogratory remarks and if i still see it on my credit report, then i can provide the CRA's with the Citibank letter i recieved. So basically all the help that i have got from such insightful and helpful people like Bigmon, pd11604, Hedwig and prosub has cleared my credit report and i have one less thing to worry about in life. Thank you everyone for all your help!!!!

That's why we tell you to never pay and never admit to anything until you know they can prove it. And that's also why you never TALK to them. If you think you won't need it, start an IRA. Otherwise, invest according to your needs--CDs, mutual funds, or even put it in a money market account. Then add a little each payday. You'll be surprised how much it will grow. Look at it this way--it you had paid it to Citi/Associates, you wouldn't have the money. So pretend you paid it to them and pay it to yourself instead.
