I am trying to determine whether I am the only person in the United States that this happened to, or whether there are others. If this happened to you or is happening at this very moiment, please respond to this link. * * * I had an old Discover card. The last payment I made was back in June of 1991, about 11 years ago. Discover Card charged off this account in January 1992. It appeared on my credit report as a charged off account. It was not on any of my credit reports in mid-2001, and it should not have been on them then. Mid-2001 was more than 7 years after the date of last activity of my account. I learned in early May 2002 (last month), that this same account again appears on my Experian and Equifax credit reports, almost 10 1/2 years since the account was written off.
