   I have a chargeoff on my CR from an OC which still shows as having a balance. Are they allowed to do this? I thought if an account was charged off that they had to report a zero balance.

   Is it paid off? If not, they can report a balance, even if they claimed it as a tax write-off. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....
