Junum disputed the most derogatory item on my Experian credit report--a 6/98 Amex charge off. It came back verified. No results from Eqf. or TU yet. I need some guidance on where to go next. I plan to purchase a home in September, and this entry is really damaging. Should I: 1) Begin my own round of certified dispute letters to all CRA and Amex? 2) Let Junum keep working at it . 3) Call Amex directly and nicely ask for it to be reduced to "Paid" from "Paid Charge-off"? 4) Threaten a lawsuit, like la Lizard? I welcome any and all feedback here.
If that's your worst, then don't worry about your record too much.. just let junum work for you - that's why you hired them, right??
I would let junum continue to attack it. I think that's great advice. I had items verified the first time (totally bull) and then removed the second!
