hubby applied online 10/15 for chase visa. they pulled tu report 10/16. He called today and they told him his application is still being "processed'" and no decision has been made. They told him he will receive a reply by 11/15. Does this mean he is denied? How long does it normally take Chase to decision an application? tia
I went through the same process a year ago. I applied for a Chase cc, I got the message it would hear something in 4 weeks. That means you're going through manual review. Your chances are very high that you will get approved. I got a 6K limit, classic card, with the 2.9 % for 9 motns and BT. I didn't care because it was my very first PRIME card. They pulled TU and my score at the time was 725. I think they gave me the classice because all the little sub prime cards on my report. I had an FCNB MC, 4 Household cards (because I had 3 credit cards bought by household bank) and a Best Buy Card. Chase is ok, but they will pull AR's every month. I had a collection account show back up on Equifax, and they DIDN'T raise my rates at all. I had the account removed and I was fine. If you got a chase, apply for the Eddie Bauer Gold Mastercard. FCNB pulls TU excluisvely, I was told by one of their reps. I was approved for a credit limit of 2500, and received a 400 increase every 6 months. Do do account reviews on TU monthly too.
Christi, No My Eddie Bauer Gold M/C wasn't instant approval. I had to get reconsideration. As soon as I recieved the denial I called in. I gave them my cell phone number for my work number because I transfer my work phone to my cell phone. That was the reason for denial. Once I faxed them a paystub and they verified employment, I had my card in 5 days. I Like that one because they pull a/r's on Trans Union, my best report. I have received increases every 6 months without asking, at 400 bucks a pop. not bad for an increase without asking.
