Hi C'Netters, I just applied for Chase Platinum and received this message "Thank you for applying...we will review your application. You will receive a letter by mail in a few days." Or something to that effect. It didn't say 30 days or 7-10 days. If they check TU, then that report is clean, but I don't know my current score. Has anyone received this message and been approved? Or is this the auto-denial message? Thanx! Calmest_LA
Sounds like a denial to me. When I applied to Chase I received a message that I would hear something within 30 days. That meant I was going through manual review. You can call their customer servcie number. They will transfer you to their new accounts office (I had the number but lost it). They will tell you the status of your application. Chase is VERY conservative. Any negs large or small will yeild a denial. They pulled TU for me and I reside in Pa. As a matter of fact I think they almost always pull TU. I was considering applying for a Gold Card at the end of my six months.
It is not always a denial, Chase is very very slow at times. You mentioned you had no negs correct?? IF you applied for the platinum they like a high score on top of no negatives, but if you don't get the plat, chase will issue a classic card. But like the other poster mentioned, you can call and ask them, they will tell you.
