Three years ago my mother had horrible credit. I set her up with: Providian Visa Aria Visa (Now Providian) First National Bank First Premier Bank Household Bank Household Automotive Finance Household financed her car with $1K out of pocket. There was not a single item being reported in a positive manner Over the last three years she has been disputing items on the credit bureau and so forth and all but one credit bureau is spotless now.. She has one account on her Equifax and that is due to fall off on its' own in 5 months anyhow. A month ago I told my mother to apply for an account with Chase. She applied for the Walmart Mastercard. Se was approved. They gave her a $5,000 credit line. She did several balance transfers and based on the balance transfers they, without asking her, increased her credit line to $10,000 automatic. They gave her a 7.9% for the life of the balance transfers. As long as she makes all her payments on time her rate will never change. Only thing that she had to pay a 3% fee for each balance transfer but it was well worth it when her Providian account carried a 29% rate! As far as I am concerned Chase is a great bank!
That's great news for your Mom! I've had my mortgage, and 2 credit cards thru Chase and I've loved it.....They have been accomodating when I've requested CL increases and/or interest rate decreases. We just refinanced our mortgage with them and it went smooth as silk! I would recommend them to anyone.
