I'm blown away. Pop has been denied over and over and over for a CC - and today the Chase Walmart (fun because he works there!) card came in the mail. They pulled TU when I saw that I was sure he would be denied AGAIN (see scores below-no one pulls EX for him) I am stunned. Granted there is a $200 limit, but it is a heck of a lot better than no card at all. HTH someone
...chasing the puppy around the house to get that invite from Chase out of her mouth. Sit Pooh Sit!! Congrats to Pop!
Thanks! The interest rate is 19.9% but we will be paying it off monthly - just wanted to get his own credit up and running again. Heh. I just pulled the TU to tell you exactly what he has on there and I see some updates since yesterday!!!! He now has a 608 (WhooHa!!), but it was 470 as recently as the 5th he applied on the 28th of Feb, so I know they used the 470. On TU he HAD 1 Charge Off under 300 1 Collection under 300 1 Collection under 8K (double billing medical) 11 Recent Inquiries The charge off and small collection were the same account from 95 and the CA had reaged - those are now gone! The big collection is from 2000 and we are still trying to figure that one out. One other thing is that he has less than 2% utilization. He has a paid auto loan, a paid dept. store card, and he is an AU on two of my cards. lol I am in the middle of typing this and I see y'all asking more!! I'm hurrying I'm hurrying! lol His reason codes are: Factor 1: COLLECTION AMOUNTS EVER OWED ARE TOO HIGH CONSUMERS WITH COLLECTION ACTIVITY ARE MORE LIKELY OF FUTURE DELINQUENCY. MAKING PROMPT PAYMENTS OVER A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME MAY IMPROVE YOUR SCORE. Factor 2: TOO MANY INQUIRIES EXCESSIVE INQUIRIES ON THE CREDIT REPORT HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON YOUR CREDIT SCORE. LIMITING THE NUMBER OF CREDIT APPLICATIONS YOU COMPLETE MAY IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT SCORE. Factor 3: TOO FEW SATISFACTORY ACCOUNTS CONSUMERS WITH FEW ACCOUNTS IN GOOD STANDING ARE MORE LIKELY OF FUTURE DELINQUENCY. Factor 4:
That is certianly worth asking. I can't afford to pay for FICO very often, so both of the scores I am talking about are the FAKOs. In my experience, the FICOs have been lower than the FAKOs.
Actually I checked my fako it was 643 and I pulled my fico for the first time and it was 728!! Big difference. It will probably higher when my student loans were surpressed. It was 713 fako - fico I don't know. So I beg to differ on the fako vs. fico. In my case it's MUCH higher than it seems.
